Abstract

The mathematical model of paper stock dewatering at hydrofoils based on strict attention to physics of the processes is elaborated. Initial inspection of the developed mathematical model is executed by comparing the data, obtained by calculation with taking into account the deflection of the forming fabric, with the experimental data on the distribution of vacuum in the wedge of hydrofoils. The method for determining the flexure stiffness of forming fabrics is developed. The results of experimental determining of the filtration coefficient with consideration of three-phase state of paper stock are given. The calculated data of concentration of paper stock on wet end have a good agreement with experimental data. The method of calculating the paper stock drainage is developed and experimentally verified.
